el Raton

Trace is loosing teeth quickly and his third one which is one of his front teeth is going to come out any second. He really likes to help them along. I think it is because he feels like he is growing up, doesn't every kid love to loose their baby teeth? But I also believe that he wants el Raton to pay him a visit. Here, in Mexico, el Raton or The Tooth Fairy come to visit to take the tooth and leave a few pesos for the lucky niño or niña. Actually Trace could care less about el Raton he is focused on what he is going to buy with the pesos. Money burns a hole in that kids pocket. Yesterday on the beach he chased down a vendor that was selling necklaces so he could buy one with the pesos el Raton already brought for the two other teeth. And the entire conversation went down in Spanish between Trace and the vendor.   He is proudly wearing it in the picture above.

At the rate that he likes to spend money I sure hope that he is successful. Actually, I have no doubt that he will be successful. When he wants something there isn't much that will stand in his way to get it and if there is something standing in his way he will talk it right out of his way. Not talk to it so much that it will go crazy but will manipulate it and twist its brain so it will believe that getting out of the way is the right thing to do.

So, anyway, my baby is growing up! Damn! Though he still loves to cuddle and give lots of hugs and kisses, thank goodness.
