Alex has been racing paddle boards with her brother for about 6 years. What began as an after school activity and social meet up time with friends has turned into something much bigger. We always support our family paddlers. We try to get them what they need to be successful as long as they continue to show that they are serious and dedicated to what they are doing.
The international SUP brand, SIC Maui, is one of the few brands who feature exceptional junior SUP athletes and bring them under their banner. Alex has been paddling on SIC Maui since 2018. This year, Alex put together a string of strong race performances on her SIC Maui race board. The company's brand manager took notice and after some brief discussion with us and Alex an invitation was extended to join the Team.
Several stand out SUP athletes have been part of this youth Team the last few years and have gone on to make their mark in the SUP racing world. Alex and Trace are friends with all these talented juniors and we really like their families as well. Lots of fun to see our daughter be recognized outside of our small Mexico town for her years of effort and dedication. She has the Team, the talent and our full support so let's see where she goes with it.
